'American Idol' Recap: Girls Deliver Drama in Hollywood
This week on "American Idol," it was the girls' chance to show off their skills in Hollywood. Since there are many more girls than guys in Hollywood, the judges had to be much more selective, with far more cuts in the first two rounds.
Candice Glover, who'd been a judges' favorite, showed off her big voice on "Impossible." Megan Miller, who had auditioned on crutches after an accident, was all better now. Her version of "Titanium" was a little plodding, but she had nice tone. Candice advanced, but Megan was cut.
Isabelle, who had complained about her weight at the New York audition, sang a soulful solo, "Summertime," and made it through to the next round.
Isabelle's group also had trouble finding common ground.
Britnee Kellogg, who had been in Hollywood last year, had some good tips to impart. She was taking control of her group, dictating the harmonies and dance moves.
Zoanette was not happy about the song, "Knock on Wood," and seemed all but deflated amongst her group of country singers. She predicted, "It's not going to work at all."
